Eti Soda has a partnership structure composed of the 74% of the shares of the Ciner Group that is a leading organization in the mining energy and media sectors in Turkey and 26% of the shares of Eti Mine Works Inc., which is a state-owned organization. Trona ore found in the Beypazari district of Ankara is extracted using the solution mining, which is a safe and environment friendly operating method. The trona solution, which goes through the monohydrate process in our production facilities, is transformed into Sodium Carbonate and Sodium Bicarbonate products. ETI SODA products used in a variety of sectors from glass production to baking powder are exported to all over the world, particularly to the European Union countries.
• ETİ SODA INC was established in the year of 1998 with the purpose of extracting, processing and introducing to the economy the trona mine reserves discovered during routine coal drillings in the Beypazari District of Ankara in 1979.
• ETİ SODA facilities were inaugurated with a ceremony in March 2009 with the participation of Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Mr. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hilmi Guler and it has begun operating with 1 million tons of Sodium Carbonate and 100 thousand tons of Sodium Bicarbonate production capacity per annum.
• 1,5 million tons of Sodium Carbonate and 200 thousand tons of Sodium Bicarbonate production capacity was reached per annum through the capacity increase completed between the years of 2015 and 2017.
Trona ore deposits were found in the Beypazari District of Ankara during coal drilling works.
Trona ore reserve works continued.
ETİ SODA Inc. was established.
Soda Production Facilities and the Power Plant have been established.
The production has begun.
The installation of the capacity increase C line has been completed.
TS EN ISO 9001, TS EN ISO 22000, TS EN ISO 14001 and TS OHSAS 18001 Management Systems are integrated in Eti Soda Inc. and are being applied. BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and FEMAS standards are integrated into the TS EN ISO 22000 standard.
