In order to ensure the safety of chemical products it produces with regards to human health and environment, ETI SODA completed the regulations set out in the REACH Regulation, which is in effect in the countries of the European Union. REACH Regulation: the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council is a new European Union legislation on the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals (REACH). It was adopted by the European Parliament of 18 December 2006 and it entered into force on 1 June 2007. Only Representative: In accordance to the Article 8 of the REACH Regulation, a natural or legal person established outside the Community who manufactures a substance on its own, in preparations or in articles, formulates a preparation or produces an article that is imported into the Community may by mutual agreement appoint a natural or legal person established in the Community to fulfil, as his only representative, the obligations on importers under this Title. This representative shall also comply with other importers obligations under this Regulation. The non-Community manufacturer shall inform the importer(s) within the same supply chain of the appointment. These importers shall be regarded as downstream users for the purposes of this Regulation. Being a non-Community manufacturer, ETI SODA Inc. fully complied with the Regulation, appointed an Only Representative and completed the registration of its products.
